The Matters.

worship & wisdom

Psalm 1:5-6

...the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

There are two ways that we can live out our lives. One way provides the covering protection of the attentive watch of God himself. Another way has no protection of any covering observation from God and is therefore extremely dangerous. What is the way of the righteous? The answer to this is found in the teachings of the Christ who teaches that we should worship in spirit (attitude of belief) and truth (action of belief). Our attitudes can show us what spiritual ways we agree with and our actions display the fruit of our pursuit of a spiritual way or ways.

The righteous way wisely accepts God and His instructions, while the wicked way foolishly rejects God and His instructions. Real human acceptance while imperfect is persistent in its pursuit. Accept, & don't reject Him today... it is not our perfection, but our persistence in pursuit that God desires for us to discover and keep daily.

Proverbs 1:5-6

Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance- for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.

It is impossible to refuse learning and gain wisdom, just as it is impossible to find insight without guidance. The acceptance of God's very own instructions involves embracing the ever increasing journey of learning. It also connects to allowing the guidance of those God has sent to us, to help show us various meanings and applications of the things learned in the journey.

Proverbs, parables and riddles don't just promote knowledge, they provoke reflection, revelation, review and resolution.
